BlockBeats News, April 12th, X Product Lead Nikita Bier posted, stating, "During this round of creator revenue sharing, the share of all aggregator accounts has been reduced to 60%. A further 20% reduction will be made in the next period."
The platform believes that this change stems from a clear phenomenon: a large number of accounts flood the timeline with daily reposts of 'plagiarized content' and clickbait, squeezing out the exposure space for genuine creators and stifling the growth of new creators.
Next, the platform plans to implement permanent revenue deductions for accounts that have been long-term using 'BREAKING' and other clickbait tags to drive traffic. X will not limit speech or the scope of distribution, but will not provide revenue compensation for manipulating distribution mechanisms or engaging in user deception."
