US-Iran Three Rounds of Talks Lasted Until Late at Night, Three Key Negotiation Topics Still Pending

BlockBeats News, April 12th. According to CCTV News, on April 12th local time, the third round of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad has ended. The Iranian side referred to this round of negotiations as the "last opportunity" to reach a framework agreement.

Since the 11th, the two sides have had a dense negotiation agenda, deliberating until late at night. All parties seized the temporary ceasefire window to intensify the bargaining. However, sharp differences remain on the three core issues of controlling the Strait of Hormuz, unfreezing overseas assets, and uranium enrichment.

Outside the negotiating table, the US military announced the commencement of mine clearance operations in the Strait of Hormuz, while the Israeli Prime Minister stated that they would continue to strike Iran and its proxies. With little time left in the ceasefire window, diplomatic maneuvers and military actions are escalating simultaneously, placing the Middle East at a crossroads between war and peace.
