Iran-US Negotiations to Officially Commence Today in Islamabad, Strait of Hormuz Impasse Yet to Be Resolved

BlockBeats News, April 11th: U.S. Vice President Pence and Iranian Speaker Larijani led delegations in talks in Pakistan, with Trump expressing optimism about the outcome, stating that the decision will be made within 24 hours. The Iranian side laid out two conditions for a ceasefire in Lebanon and asset unfreezing, taking a hard-line stance; the armed forces simultaneously announced maintaining full readiness.

On the Strait of Hormuz front, the number of passing ships in the past 24 hours remains scarce, with the White House internally acknowledging the short-term difficulty of full reopening. The UK has begun convening an international conference to promote a multilateral solution. Meanwhile, the Israeli military continues airstrikes on the south of Lebanon, and there is still controversy over whether the Lebanon ceasefire negotiations scheduled for the 14th will take place as planned.

The direction of the negotiations is the most critical variable at present, with the results expected to be announced later today.
