Trump: Hormuz Strait Will 'Quickly Resume Passage'

BlockBeats News, April 11th, President Trump of the United States stated that the U.S. will "soon" resume passage through the Strait of Hormuz, but he also acknowledged that the related action "will not be easy" and did not disclose a specific implementation plan.

Trump said that other countries have expressed willingness to assist in safeguarding the security of the strait, but did not clearly specify the participating parties. Earlier reports indicated that discussions within NATO have been held regarding assistance in maintaining the security of this key waterway.

As one of the world's most important energy transportation channels, the Strait of Hormuz handles about 20% of the global oil and liquefied natural gas transportation volume. Since Iran blocked the strait, global energy supply has been severely disrupted, oil prices have fluctuated significantly, and market uncertainty has continued to rise.

Despite the U.S. and Iran having announced a temporary ceasefire, current shipping through the strait remains largely stalled, and the progress of resumption still depends on subsequent security arrangements and geopolitical developments.
