SpaceX suffered a loss of nearly $5 billion last year, with AI investment being the main drag.

BlockBeats News, April 10th, according to The Information, SpaceX recorded a nearly $5 billion loss in 2025, mainly due to a significant increase in AI-related infrastructure and computing power investment.

The report pointed out that SpaceX is accelerating its layout in AI and high-performance computing capabilities, including data center construction and computing power procurement, to support its long-term strategy in satellite networks and automation systems. However, high-intensity capital expenditures have significantly eroded its short-term profit performance.

Despite the significant loss, the market still generally believes that SpaceX's core revenue sources—including Starlink—continue to grow, and AI investment is more inclined toward forward-looking layout, aiming to strengthen its competitive advantage in the field of communication and aerospace data processing.
