BlockBeats News, April 9th, according to NBC News, a senior government official said that Trump, in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday, requested Israel to reduce its attacks on Lebanon to help ensure the success of negotiations with Iran.
The official said that despite the Trump administration and Israel both stating that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement, Israel has agreed to "be a helpful partner."
The official stated that the call took place after Netanyahu publicly vowed on Wednesday to continue strong attacks on Lebanon. Iranian officials had previously threatened to respond to the attacks and end the ceasefire. An Israeli embassy spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
