White House: Iran Has Stated It Will Transfer Enriched Uranium

BlockBeats News, April 9th, White House Press Secretary Levitt said on Wednesday local time that Iran has indicated it will transfer its uranium enrichment stockpile, calling it one of Trump's top priorities. Trump said that one of the main reasons for waging war was to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, a goal that Iran has long denied.

Levitt said at a briefing, "This is a red line that the president will never back down on, and he is committed to ensuring that this is carried out." When asked if Iran had indicated it would transfer uranium, Levitt replied, "Yes, they have indicated that." However, she did not disclose specific details.

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Grossi said that about half of Iran's highest enrichment level of 60% enriched uranium is stored in a tunnel complex in Isfahan, and this uranium is likely still there. The tunnel facility was the only target that appeared not to have been seriously damaged in the June strike by the US and Israel on Iran's nuclear facilities.

US Defense Secretary Hegseth previously stated, "Right now it's underground, and we're watching it closely. We are fully aware of what they have, and they know it too."
