Iran: If Framework Agreement Reached Before US-Iran Meeting, Strait of Hormuz May Open on Thursday or Friday

BlockBeats News, April 8th, a senior Iranian official stated that Iran may open the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday or Friday if a ceasefire framework agreement is reached before the Islamabad meeting between the US and Iran. The reopening of the waterway will be limited, require coordination with the Iranian military, and all vessels will still need to obtain permission.

Previously, it was reported that delegations from both Iran and the US are expected to hold further negotiations in Islamabad on April 10th to reach a final agreement to resolve all disputes.

According to PolyBeats monitoring, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of "Hormuz Strait resuming navigation this month" increased from 26% to 41% within an hour.
