CZ's New Book Discusses Gensler: Previously Invited Him to Serve as Binance Advisor

BlockBeats News, April 8th. CZ recalled his encounter with former SEC Chair Gary Gensler in his new book "The Binance Story":

In March 2019, CZ met Gensler (who was not yet the SEC Chair) in Tokyo, Japan, introduced by a mutual connection. During the meeting, CZ tentatively invited Gensler to be an advisor to Binance, but was politely declined. Gensler candidly expressed his ambition to become the SEC Chair.

Subsequently, they maintained a friendly email exchange. However, "19 months later, Gensler made a 180-degree turn." It wasn't until June 2023 that the SEC, under Gensler's leadership, officially sued Binance.
