Vance: US Could Use 'Unexercised Means' if Iran Deal Not Reached

BlockBeats News, April 8th: U.S. Vice President Pence stated that if Iran fails to reach an agreement before the deadline tonight, the U.S. may escalate its actions against Iran, even using "previously unused means."

Pence said that the U.S. has the "ability to inflict greater pain," but emphasized that both Trump and himself "do not want to go that far" and are currently actively advancing negotiations.

He stated that the U.S. expects to receive a response from Iran by 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the 7th (8:00 a.m. Beijing Time on the 8th), regardless of whether the result is positive or negative. Pence warned that the U.S. still has "unused means" at its disposal. If Iran does not cooperate, the U.S. does not rule out using these means.
