Saudi Arabia's Major Petrochemical Plant Reportedly Hit by Large-Scale Attack

BlockBeats News, April 7th. On the morning of April 7th local time, Iran cited an unnamed source claiming that there was a large-scale explosion in the Jubail Industrial City in the northeast of Saudi Arabia, where American capital is involved. The Jubail Industrial City is described as one of the world's key petrochemical production sites, with an annual output of approximately 60 million tons of petrochemical products, accounting for 6% to 8% of the global total production. The area is home to several large petrochemical companies and projects, with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation being one of the main investors in the industrial city.

Furthermore, the Sadara project involving Dow Chemical Company from the United States, as well as a project jointly invested in by Saudi Aramco and France's TotalEnergies, are also located in this industrial city. (CCTV)
