Google AI Pro storage has been increased from 2TB to 5TB at no additional cost, staying consistent with the previous $9.99 tier

According to 1M AI News monitoring, Google has announced an increase in the cloud storage capacity of the Google AI Pro subscription (monthly fee $19.99) from 2TB to 5TB, effective for global users with no price change. The storage can be used for Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos.

Prior to this, both the AI Pro and the $9.99 tier had a storage capacity of 2TB, with the $19.99 premium relying entirely on the AI capabilities of Gemini 3. With this capacity increase, the two tiers have finally differentiated in basic storage. For reference, the next tier in Google's storage ladder is 10TB (monthly fee $49.99), and the highest-tier AI Ultra (monthly fee $249.99) offers 30TB. The lowest-tier AI Plus (monthly fee $7.99) only has 200GB.
