U.S. Intelligence Agency: Iran Currently Uninterested in Substantive Talks, Believes Trump Lacks Sincerity

Officials said the assessment concluded that the Iranian government considers itself in a strong position in the war and does not need to comply with U.S. diplomatic requests.

They stated that although Iran is willing to keep communication channels open, the country does not trust the United States and believes that President Trump is not sincere about negotiations.
