OpenClaw has released a new version update, featuring QQ Bot integration to enhance user-friendliness for the Asia-Pacific region.

According to 1M AI News monitoring, OpenClaw released version 2026.3.31, starting to converge ACP, subagents, cron, and background CLI execution into the same set of SQLite-backed backend task control plane, and adding a new set of task flow commands: openclaw flows list|show|cancel. This set of changes also includes adding status visibility and auditing, maintenance entry points, and strengthening automatic cleanup and lost task recovery.

This version also adds two daily use capabilities:

1. Built-in QQ Bot channel plugin, supporting multi-account configuration, slash commands, reminders, and media exchange
2. For embedded Pi operation, Codex native web search has been added, with configuration, documentation, and guides now synchronized. Enabling native search will suppress redundant searches by hosting tools.

The release notes also list several security improvements, including critical dangerous code detection and a default switch during installation failure to direct interception instead of default pass-through.

This update has been widely praised by the community, but a few users have reported excessive Exec approval prompts or Approval issues after the update, with a very small number of users experiencing occasional crashes or instability post-update.
