Bitcoin developers are advancing Bitcoin's post-quantum security through BIP-360

BlockBeats News, March 31, according to a screenshot from Bitcoin Magazine, Bitcoin developers are advancing Bitcoin's quantum resistance with BIP-360 "Pay-to-Merkle-Root (P2MR)," which was merged into the bitcoin/bips repository on February 11 and is in Draft status.

This proposal aims to enhance Bitcoin's quantum resistance by removing Taproot's key-path spend and switching to a script tree Merkelized Abstract Syntax Tree (MAST) output to mitigate the quantum attack risk from exposed public keys, representing an early-stage technical preparation for Bitcoin's quantum resistance.
