BlockBeats News, March 30th – On Sunday local time, former President Trump stated to reporters aboard Air Force One that Iran has "met" "most" of the 15 ceasefire demands previously presented to Tehran by the United States, although it is currently unclear whether the two sides are indeed engaging in substantive negotiations.
He said: "They have met most of our key points. Why wouldn't they do that? We will put forward several other demands." However, he refused to disclose the specific concessions made by Iran. Publicly, Iran has squarely rejected the list of 15 ceasefire conditions and has instead proposed its own five prerequisites – including full control over the sovereignty of the Strait of Hormuz.
Over the weekend, officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey held a meeting in an attempt to find a way out of the conflict, but there is currently no indication that the talks have made substantial progress. The Pakistani Foreign Minister stated after meeting with his counterparts from various countries: "Both Iran and the United States have expressed trust in Pakistan and are willing to have Pakistan host subsequent negotiations." However, both sides have not indicated readiness for direct dialogue. (Golden Finance)
