Iran Says US Hit 'Yellowcake' Production Plant, No Radiation Leak

BlockBeats News, March 28th, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced that the "yellowcake" production plant in Ardakan, Yazd Province, Iran, was attacked by Israeli forces a few minutes ago. Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident did not cause any radioactive material to leak outside the facility. (CCTV)

Yellowcake is the oxide of uranium, usually extracted from crushed natural uranium ore and is an essential intermediate product in the nuclear fuel production process, but it cannot be used directly in nuclear reactors and is generally used for uranium enrichment.
