European Parliament Votes to Approve EU-US Trade Agreement

The European Parliament's International Trade Committee, with a vote of 29 in favor on March 19, resumed the legislative approval process for the EU-USA trade agreement. The EU and the USA reached a trade agreement in July 2025. The EU is required to eliminate tariffs on US industrial goods and provide preferential market access for US seafood and agricultural products in exchange for the US imposing a 15% tariff on most EU exports to the US.
