BlockBeats News, March 26, Resolv Labs posted an update on the reduction of the illegal minting of USR supply on social media.
The official statement indicates that out of the 80 million USR illegally minted during the March 22, 2026, attack, approximately 46 million (about 57% of the total) have been permanently removed from circulation through destruction and blacklisting.
Therefore, there are no more illicitly minted assets on the attacker-associated addresses available for further transfer or exchange. To reduce the quantity of 80 million illegally minted USR, several measures have been taken:
· On March 22, approximately 9 million USR were destroyed through two transactions
· An additional approximately 36 million USR held in the attacker-associated wallet in the form of wstUSR have been blacklisted. This was achieved through an upgrade to the wstUSR contract, which, due to contract-level constraints, required a 72-hour timelock to be initiated.
· The remaining USR held by the attacker has been destroyed.
