Turkish Oil Tanker Carrying Russian Oil Attacked by Drone in the Black Sea

BlockBeats News, March 26th. According to Turkish TV channel NTV, a Turkish oil tanker was attacked by a drone in the Black Sea near Istanbul.


The attack took place 15 nautical miles from the Bosphorus Strait, targeting the M/T Altura tanker. Ship tracking data shows that the tanker was carrying about 1 million barrels of Urals crude oil loaded from Novorossiysk. The M/T Altura has been sanctioned by the UK and the EU but has not been included in the US sanction list. According to the Turkish maritime news website HaberDenizde, there was an explosion on the tanker's bridge and flooding in the engine room. Currently, there are no reports of casualties.
