JPMorgan CEO: Iran War Could Ultimately Benefit Middle East Peace Efforts

BlockBeats News, March 25th, according to CNBC, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said on Tuesday that while the Iran war poses short-term risks, it could help improve the prospects for lasting peace in the Middle East in the long run.

Speaking at a meeting in Washington D.C., he said, "I think the Iran war may actually enhance the possibility of peace in the long run — but the short-term risks are higher because we do not yet know the ultimate outcome."

Dimon pointed out that a key shift is that the interests among major regional powers are converging. He said that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the United States, and Israel all want long-term peace, with Gulf states especially showing a willingness to advance in this direction.

He stated, "The attitude now is different from 20 years ago, with all parties aiming for this goal."
