Kleiner Perkins is raising $3.5 billion to invest in AI companies

BlockBeats News, March 24th, according to Bloomberg, Kleiner Perkins, the half-century-old venture capital firm, is reportedly raising $3.5 billion to invest in AI startups reshaping industries such as software, healthcare, transportation, and autonomous driving.


The firm is best known for its early investments in industry-defining companies like Google and Amazon Inc. In this fundraising, $1 billion will be allocated to its 22nd early-stage fund to discover promising AI startups; additionally, $25 billion will be used to invest in growth-stage companies, those larger-scale AI enterprises with increasing capital needs.
