According to 1M AI News monitoring, Xiaomi will launch the mobile-side OpenClaw product miclaw for public testing later in April. miclaw is the first domestic Agent product launched by a mobile phone manufacturer and run on the mobile side, first demonstrated on March 6 and opened for small-scale closed beta testing.
Insiders close to Xiaomi revealed that miclaw was rapidly developed by an experimental small team from Xiaomi's mobile phone team software department (Pengpai OS R&D department), initially consisting of fewer than 5 engineers. This department is a third-level department within Xiaomi, while the previously considered core AI product, Super Xiaoai, belongs to the Group's Technical Committee as a second-level department. Super Xiaoai has now begun to try to cooperate with miclaw, and a future merger of the two teams is not ruled out.
miclaw has encapsulated the core capabilities of mobile phones into more than 50 system-level tool interfaces and ecosystem services, with inference performed in the cloud by Xiaomi's self-developed MiMo model. The Super Xiaoai team is advancing the development of the PC-side OpenClaw product, and the mobile version of Super Xiaoai will also be revamped. Following the March 19 press conference, Lei Jun stated, "We consider the mobile lobster as the prototype of AIOS, which is an OS with a built-in MiMo base large model." He also mentioned that Xiaomi Group will invest 60 billion yuan in the AI field over the next 3 years.
