According to 1M AI News monitoring, X platform users discovered a feature toggle named enable_grok_computer in the Grok web frontend source code, speculating that xAI is preparing to launch a computer-controlled agent, equivalent to a "sneak peek" version of the previously announced Macrohard project. xAI founder Elon Musk later retweeted a related post confirming it is "coming soon".

Macrohard is an AI automation system jointly developed by Tesla and xAI, with Grok as the high-level reasoning engine, coupled with an AI agent to process real-time screen visuals and keyboard/mouse actions. Earlier reports indicated that data collection for this project was paused last month.
