Trump: Considering Gradual De-escalation of Military Action Against Iran

BlockBeats News, March 21st, U.S. President Trump tweeted that as they consider gradually de-escalating all major military actions taken against the Iranian regime in the Middle East, they are very close to achieving their stated goals:

1. Thoroughly weaken Iran's missile capabilities, launch systems, and all related facilities.

2. Destroy Iran's defense industry base.

3. Eliminate Iran's naval and air forces, including air defense weapon systems.

4. Under no circumstances allow Iran to even come close to possessing nuclear capabilities; at the same time, the U.S. must always maintain a posture to be able to respond rapidly and forcefully should such a situation arise.

5. Protect U.S. allies in the Middle East at the highest level, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other countries.

Trump stated that the protection and patrol of the Strait of Hormuz should be undertaken by other countries using the strait when necessary, and the U.S. will no longer assume this responsibility. If invited to assist, the U.S. is willing to support these countries' operations in the Strait of Hormuz, but once the Iranian threat is completely eliminated, such assistance will be unnecessary. Importantly, for these countries, this will be a straightforward military operation.
