Fed Survey Case Deadlock, Uncertainty Over Powell's Succession

BlockBeats News, March 20th. According to US media reports, informants revealed that senior officials at the Department of Justice are actively supporting a federal prosecutor's investigation into Federal Reserve Chairman Powell, and the White House has not objected to this. This situation has intensified the high-stakes game between the two parties and has a significant impact on the future leadership of the Federal Reserve.

Informants stated that before a judge rejected a subpoena against the Federal Reserve last Friday, Trump had been open to the proposal to end Powell's investigation. However, due to anger over the ruling and a long-held belief that the court is biased against him, aides and allies believe Trump is now in favor of appealing. Federal Prosecutor Jenny Piero promptly announced her intention to appeal the court's decision after the subpoena was rejected last week. Although Trump has not publicly commented on Piero's actions, some of his aides were surprised by this.

According to another anonymous insider familiar with internal deliberations, the Department of Justice leadership is currently backing Piero. Some informants pointed out that the judge's ruling had provided a potential "slippery slope" for the Trump administration to end Powell's investigation quietly and defuse the controversy surrounding it. However, continuing the legal battle means Trump may have to wait longer to see his hand-picked nominee for Federal Reserve Chair, Wash, take over the Fed.
