BlockBeats News, March 19th, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. officials, Donald Trump has explicitly expressed his wish to hold off on further strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure after the Israeli attack on the Natanz nuclear site. Trump was previously aware of and supportive of the operation, intended to send a warning to Tehran regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, but it is now believed that Iran has "received the signal" opposing further escalation, although his stance still depends on Iran's subsequent actions.
Meanwhile, Iran has responded firmly. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that it has launched a large-scale missile strike on U.S.-linked energy facilities as a "reciprocal response" to the attack on its own energy facilities, stating that the conflict has entered a "new phase." Iran warned that if the attacks continue, it will expand the scope of the strikes to all energy infrastructure of U.S. and Israeli allies.
