Meta's flagship Metaverse product will no longer support Quest VR headset user access

BlockBeats News, March 18th, according to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms has stated that its Meta Quest headset users will no longer be able to access Horizon Worlds — a virtual space where users can meet as avatars and engage in activities. This marks a further scaling back of the company's once-central "metaverse" ambitions in Mark Zuckerberg's strategy.

Meta said Tuesday that starting June 15th, consumers will no longer be able to create, publish, or update virtual reality worlds on the Quest headset, nor access them through Meta Horizon Worlds. However, users can still access these virtual worlds through the Meta Horizon app.
