Amazon CEO: AI Doubles AWS's Ten-Year Revenue Outlook to $600 Billion

According to 1M AI News, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated at an internal all-hands meeting that his previous years-long prediction was for AWS to reach $300 billion in annual revenue after ten years, but the development of AI has led him to believe that this number can at least double, surpassing $600 billion by 2036. AWS achieved $128.7 billion in full-year revenue in 2025.

Addressing Wall Street's concerns about Amazon's $200 billion capital expenditure plan for this year, Jassy responded, saying, "We're not spending this money on the hope that AI will have a big development," indicating that the company has "very clear and significant demand signals." He explained that the faster AWS grows, the higher the short-term capital expenditure will be, because investments in land, power, construction, chips, servers, and networking equipment need to be made two years in advance.
