Iran's New Leader Rejects Ceasefire: US Must "Beg on Its Knees"

BlockBeats News, March 17th. According to multiple sources, Iran's newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in his first foreign policy meeting after taking office, rejected a de-escalation proposal conveyed through intermediaries and stated that Iran would not consider a ceasefire or peace talks until the United States and Israel "are forced to surrender, admit defeat, and pay compensation."

Reports indicate that the current US-Israel military conflict with Iran has entered its third week, resulting in at least 2000 casualties. Meanwhile, Iran continues to block the Strait of Hormuz, causing energy prices to rise and exacerbating global inflation concerns.

Other media reports suggest that Mojtaba was injured in a previous airstrike and was secretly flown to Moscow for treatment, but the Iranian ambassador to Russia has publicly denied this claim.

Last week, Mojtaba was selected by a religious institution to succeed his father, the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated. He has not appeared in public yet, and there are many speculations about his health and actual governing capabilities.
