CZ: Block Explorers Should Filter Out Spam Transactions to Reduce Address Poisoning Risk

BlockBeats News, March 14th - In response to the recent Ethereum address poisoning attack escalation, CZ stated in a post that block explorers should directly filter out such spam transactions instead of displaying them to users. He noted that these transactions can be technically easily filtered out entirely, and the Trust Wallet app has already implemented a similar feature.

CZ also mentioned that while filtering out spam transactions may have some impact on future micro-payment transactions between AI agents, AI technology can also be used at that time for spam transaction identification and filtering.

Previously, the block explorer Etherscan warned that the address poisoning attacks on Ethereum are becoming more automated and widespread, with attackers using fake similar addresses to trick users into sending funds to the wrong address.
