Software giant Atlassian to cut 1600 jobs in latest round of AI-related layoffs

BlockBeats News, March 12, According to Bloomberg, software giant Atlassian plans to cut 1,600 jobs, about 10% of its global workforce. This move puts it in line with its peers in responding to the rise of artificial intelligence and an overall industry slowdown by reducing personnel.

Australian billionaire founder Mike Cannon-Brookes explained the decision to lay off employees in a memo to staff, also announcing that the company's Sydney-based Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will step down.
