Vitalik: Cryptographic Privacy Critical for On-Device AI Agents, Prevents Access Pattern Leakage in API Calls Disclosing User Behavior

BlockBeats News, March 8th, Vitalik Buterin stated that cryptographic privacy is crucial for on-device AI agents, as it can prevent access pattern leakage of user behavior in API calls, such as search engine query records.

Vitalik pointed out that using a mixnet can initially obfuscate the calls, but service providers need anti-DoS mechanisms, usually involving payments; at this point, cryptographic privacy can mitigate tracking risks from traditional methods like credit cards.
