According to 1M AI News's monitoring, China Unicom yesterday released the bid-winning announcement for the 2026 Shandong Jinan Large-scale Model Innovation Factory Infrastructure Service Project. Baidu won the bid with a total amount of 837 million RMB, marking the largest bid amount in the field of AI large-scale models since the beginning of 2026.
The project will procure a total of 740 AI servers: 204 training servers (400G+100G network interface), 476 inference servers (100G), and 60 training+inference servers (100G+25G). The equipment will be deployed in the Unicom data center in Licheng District, Jinan City, with a delivery period of 16 working days after the contract is signed.
The processor parameters used in the winning servers are 64 cores, 2.7GHz base frequency, and 400W power consumption. Kunlun Core, an AI chip company owned by Baidu, had previously won a billion-level centralized procurement order from China Mobile. However, it has not been disclosed whether the processors in this bid are Kunlun Core products, and Baidu has not yet commented officially.
