NotebookLM introduces Cinematic Video Overviews, integrating three models including Gemini3 to generate animated videos.

According to 1M AI News, Google AI's research tool NotebookLM has introduced Cinematic Video Overviews, upgrading the previous Video Overviews that could only generate voice-over with slides to immersive animated videos that can be customized based on user-uploaded material. This feature integrates three models: Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3, to create smooth animations and rich visual scenes. Gemini acts as the "Creative Director," automatically handling hundreds of decisions regarding narrative structure, visual style, format, and self-corrects for consistency.

This feature is now available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in English, supporting both web and mobile platforms, and users must be 18 years or older. NotebookLM initially launched Video Overviews in July 2025, expanding to Android and iOS apps in January of this year.
