Anthropic's CEO has resumed negotiations with the US Department of Defense on an artificial intelligence agreement

BlockBeats News, March 5th, according to the Financial Times, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei is reportedly seeking a last-minute agreement with the US Department of Defense. Previous negotiations collapsed last week, putting the company at risk of being excluded from the military supply chain.

According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, Amodei has been in discussions with Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Emile Michael, in an attempt to reach an agreement on a contract term that would govern how the Pentagon can access Anthropic's artificial intelligence models.

If a new contract is reached, the US military will be able to continue using Anthropic's technology, significantly reducing the likelihood of the company being identified as a supply chain risk.
