BlockBeats News, March 5th, according to Decrypt, JPMorgan Chase, in an amended S-1 filing submitted on Wednesday, stated that it plans to offer Bitcoin custody services for its planned JPMorgan Bitcoin Trust, with the custodians including the Bank of New York Mellon and Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
This arrangement is similar to existing Bitcoin ETFs, such as the iShares Bitcoin Trust owned by BlackRock. IBIT initially relied solely on Coinbase to provide Bitcoin custody services, but in April 2025, Anchorage Digital was added as a second custodian. BlackRock's Bitcoin fund also uses the Bank of New York Mellon as its cash custodian and administrator.
This Wall Street giant had already submitted its initial filing for a spot Bitcoin ETF back in January. It has since applied to register Ethereum and Solana ETFs. At that time, the company did not disclose which custodian it planned to choose for the Bitcoin fund.
