Jack Ma Joins Rare Gathering of Ant Group Core Executives, Discusses AI and Education in First Work Engagement of the New Year

According to 1M AI News monitoring, Jack Ma appeared with Alibaba and Ant Group's core management team at the Hangzhou Yun Gu School yesterday to discuss AI's impact on education with teachers and students. The executives in attendance included Alibaba Group Chairman Eric Jing, CEO Simon Hu, Risk Committee Chairman Shao Xiaofeng, CEO of the E-commerce Business Group Jiang Fan, as well as Ant Group Chairman Eric Tan, CEO Hannah Hu, with the rare full management team lineup.

Jack Ma expressed that "the AI era has rapidly arrived, with a greater impact on society than imagined," believing that AI brings an opportunity for education to return to its essence. "The time spent on rote memorization and practicing questions can be freed up to cultivate creativity and imagination." Eric Jing emphasized the importance of critical thinking, stating that "it's not about asking questions, but asking the right questions"; Simon Hu believed that the core differences between humans and AI lie in curiosity, empathy, and physical stamina.

During the Chinese New Year holiday, Alibaba's AI business achieved a "dual-line outbreak," with the performance of the next-generation large model Qwen3.5-Plus comparable to Gemini 3 Pro. The Qwen APP, with 203 million monthly active users, ranked third globally, with a growth rate of 552%. Alibaba has established a "Sky Brother" AI triangular layout consisting of the Flathead Brother chip, Alibaba Cloud, and the Qwen model.
