Japan's Financial Services Agency Supports Cryptocurrency Anti-Money Laundering Proof-of-Concept

BlockBeats News, February 28th: The Japanese Financial Services Agency announced yesterday that it will support an anti-money laundering (AML) proof-of-concept experiment for cryptocurrency. The experiment, applied for by Hitachi, will involve 13 companies including GMO Coin, Chainalysis Japan, NEC, JPYC, BitBank, etc. The experiment will take place from March to May 2026, aiming to validate the effectiveness of sharing suspicious wallet address information among multiple cryptocurrency exchanges and stablecoin issuers to build a more efficient industry-wide AML system.
