On-chain ETH's largest long previously sold high and bought low, averaging a $90 drop, with the current position's unrealized gains expanding to $5.26 million

BlockBeats News, February 26th, according to Coinbob Popular Address Monitoring, on-chain data shows that the largest ETH long whale (0xa5b...) currently holds a 15x leveraged ETH long position, with unrealized gains expanded to $5.26 million (53%). Its current position size is about 70,000 ETH, equivalent to $144 million, with an entry price of $1991, making it the largest long position address on the Hyperliquid platform.

According to previous transaction records, on February 9th, this address opened a long position of about 60,000 ETH at an average price of $2086 and was briefly underwater after entry. On February 14th, when ETH surged to around $2100, it promptly sold nearly half of its position (about 29,000 ETH), locking in a profit of $1.31 million.

As the price subsequently dropped, the address did not stop out, and in the past 10 days, it gradually added back to its position in the 1868 to 1990 dollar range, replenishing the previously sold half, completing a round of "sell high buy low" tactical operations. Through this rebalancing, its average holding price decreased from $2086 to $1991, reducing the cost by nearly $90.

With today's continued ETH strength, the address has once again turned its position from a loss to a gain, with profits reaching $6.6 million in the past week.

This whale had previously established a billion-dollar ETH long position at the end of last year and completely closed it in February of this year, holding approximately 60,000 ETH. Since then, it has re-entered the market, continuing its trading style of selling high, buying low with a volume of over a billion dollars and engaging in swing trading.
