SBF continues its futile quest for pardon, with the White House clearly stating that Trump has no intention of pardoning him

2026-02-25 13:22

BlockBeats News, February 25th, FTX founder SBF posted a message mentioning President Trump, stating that the "Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act" (referred to as the CLARITY Act) will be a significant milestone in the history of cryptocurrency development and a major achievement for President Trump. "I once actively promoted a similar bill with the aim of freeing cryptocurrency from the control of former SEC Chair Gary Gensler, but Gensler ended up helping Biden's Justice Department send me to prison."

Currently in prison, SBF is launching a futile effort to seek a presidential pardon from the U.S. President. On December 2nd last year, Trump pardoned SBF's former cellmate, former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez. Since then, SBF has frequently tweeted to express support for Trump's policies in an attempt to seek Trump's pardon or commutation. In fact, SBF's family has been publicly lobbying Trump since early 2025 and actively arranging meetings with his allies. However, earlier today, a White House spokesperson clearly stated that Trump has no intention of pardoning SBF.

BlockBeats Note: SBF is still in prison, and this message is being relayed by a friend who has access to SBF's account.
