Despite the Supreme Court ruling, U.S. tariffs will continue to be imposed

2026-02-20 16:06

BlockBeats News, February 21st: U.S. trade expert Lawrence Herman stated that the Supreme Court's rejection of Trump's tariff policy does not end the trade tension. The U.S. government can still use other means, and Canada will continue to face industry tariffs on steel, aluminum, automobiles, and lumber.

“Tariffs will persist in some form in the long term,” Herman added, warning that the U.S.-Canada trade relationship has already broken down.
