The ai.com domain seller acquired the domain at the age of 10 for only $100

2026-02-10 13:39

BlockBeats News, February 10th, according to Malay Mail, Malaysian tech entrepreneur Arsyan Ismail reportedly sold the premium domain name ai.com in April 2025 for a transaction amount of up to 70 million USD (approximately 301 million MYR at the time), thus earning over 300 million MYR in revenue.

Arsyan gained significant attention due to this high-value transaction. In fact, back in 1993, at the young age of 10, he used his mother's credit card to purchase this domain name. At that time, instead of spending the money on toys or games, he acquired the ai.com domain name for just 100 USD (approximately 256 MYR at the time).

His mother was quite puzzled by the deduction at that time—she had no idea what a domain name was and only saw an "unknown source" charge on her credit card statement.
