BlockBeats News, February 6th, according to Dumpster DAO core member Definalist, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb accidentally distributed 2000 BTC instead of the intended 2000 Korean won as a reward to its employees, resulting in hundreds of users unexpectedly receiving this airdrop.

Possibly affected by this incident, the price of Bitcoin on the Bithumb platform temporarily dropped 10% compared to other markets.

However, as of the time of writing, Bithumb has not yet made any response to this incident, and the veracity is yet to be confirmed.
