Singapore-based cryptocurrency firm Penguin Securities completes 2.8 billion yen fundraising, entering the Japanese market

BlockBeats News, February 5th, Singapore-based cryptocurrency company Penguin Securities has completed a 2.8 billion yen (about $18 million) financing round to establish a Japanese subsidiary. Japanese investors participating in this round of financing include mint, Tokyo University of Science Investment Management Company, Third Wave Financial, Nakashima Tohsho, and United.


By 2025, Penguin Securities obtained a Capital Markets Services (CMS) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing it to offer traditional financial products such as stocks, bonds, and ETFs in addition to cryptocurrency derivatives.
