Kalshi and Polymarket Compete Through ‘Free Food’ Promotion

2026-02-04 01:24

BlockBeats News, February 4th, on the eve of the Super Bowl, the prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket intensified their user acquisition competition, engaging in a fierce battle in New York through a "Free Grocery" promotional event. On February 3rd, Kalshi launched an event at WestSide Market in downtown Manhattan, offering customers free groceries worth $50, with a large number of people queuing on-site. Many participants stated that this was equivalent to several hours of wages and found it very attractive. Kalshi co-founder Tarek Mansour stated that this initiative was to give back to the community and expand the user base.

Polymarket, on the other hand, announced the opening of "The Polymarket, New York's First Free Grocery Store" on February 12th, where all items will be free, no purchase necessary, open to all New Yorkers, and an additional $1 million will be donated to local food banks.
