BlockBeats News, January 31st, Binance founder CZ stated in an AMA in response to recent market FUD:
「If you keep repeating a name to speak ill of someone or some platform, in reality, you are doing more PR for them, bringing more exposure. When people hear 'Binance' repeatedly, whether they are newcomers to the industry or seasoned players, the impression that 'Binance is the industry-leading largest platform' will become extremely profound in their minds. These accusations—saying that Binance can cause this, can manipulate that—actually make Binance appear extremely powerful, almost becoming the only platform users need to pay attention to. Many users who did not use Binance before are likely curious and come to register to see for themselves.
Take my number of followers as an example, this is a good proof: for almost a whole year, my number of followers hardly increased. I think Twitter's algorithm is continuously cleaning up zombie accounts, which is a good thing. But recently, the growth rate of followers suddenly accelerated, increasing quite rapidly.
What most companies are really afraid of is not negative attacks because people have their own judgment. They are afraid of being ignored—of no one discussing them. And right now, for whatever reason, everyone is talking about me, talking about Binance. When everyone digs deeper, they will find that this is a good platform, and ultimately all of this is a good thing.」
