Trump: Raises South Korea's Tariff from 15% to 25%

BlockBeats News, January 27th, U.S. President Trump stated on social media: "The South Korean National Assembly has not fulfilled the agreement reached with the United States. President Moon Jae-in and I reached a mutually beneficial agreement on July 30, 2025, and reiterated these terms during my visit to South Korea on October 29, 2025. Why has the South Korean National Assembly still not ratified the agreement? As the South Korean National Assembly has not yet passed our historic trade deal, which is within their power, I hereby announce that I will increase the tariff on South Korean cars, lumber, drugs, and all other goods from 15% to 25%."
