Shielded Labs has received a 3,221 ZEC donation from Gemini, worth approximately $1.2 million

BlockBeats News, January 21, Shielded Labs, an independent core development team led by Zcash (ZEC) founder Zooko, announced that they have received a donation of 3221 ZEC from the Winklevoss brothers, founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency platform, valued at approximately $1.2 million at the current price. This funding will directly support Shielded Labs' core initiatives, including the Network Sustainment Mechanism (NSM), Crosslink, and dynamic fees, enhancing the security and scalability of the Zcash network.

Shielded Labs stated that this is the second donation from the Winklevoss brothers. Their first donation was in 2023 and was used to establish a dedicated team focused on Crosslink.
