The new X algorithm has been open-sourced, with Musk stating that significant enhancements will continue.

BlockBeats News, January 20th, the X Platform engineering team announced that they have open-sourced the new X Algorithm, using the same Transformer architecture as xAI's Grok model.

Musk commented on this, saying, "We know this algorithm is clumsy and needs significant improvement, but at least you can see in real time and transparently our efforts to improve it. No other social media company has done this."

Earlier on January 11th, Musk announced the open-sourcing of the new X Platform algorithm within 7 days, including all the code used to determine which organic search and ad content to serve to users, with this process to be repeated every four weeks, accompanied by detailed developer instructions. Previously, posts related to "cryptocurrency" were blocked by the X Platform algorithm, sparking discussions in the crypto community.
